　　课程性质：《水平考试（二）》（听力）是高等教育自学考试英语专业基础课考试计划中的一门必修课。总体水平相当于普通高等院校英语专业专科二年级结束时的听力水平。
　　课程要求：
　　1. 听懂英语国家人士（标准的英音或美音发音）关于社会、文化、娱乐、教育、时事、日常生活等方面的陈述、交谈、报道、演讲等方面内容；能够听懂VOA或BBC等主要西方媒体关于以上题材及时事的报道。总体难度相当于托福考试中Mini-talk等中等难度的听力材料。　百考试题自考站，你的自考专家！
　　2. 能够理解材料的中心大意，抓住说话人阐述的主要观点和情节，根据所听内容进行适当推理、分析、整合，领会作者的语气、感情和真实意图，并应能够用英语进行简单的摘要和笔记，掌握总结、归纳、预测、猜测、关键词等基本听力技巧。百考试题论坛
　　3. 语法内容涉及简单句、并列句、复杂句、并列复杂句等常用句式以及非谓语动词、各种常用时态、语态等基本语法内容。词汇量要求为4000词以上。
　　4. 语速约为130-140词http://www.100test.com/分钟。
　　学习书目：《英语听力》（上下册），何其莘等编写，外语教学与研究出版社，1999年版。
　　考试安排：考试时间共20-25分钟左右，满分100分，共分三部分。每个问题答题时间为13秒。各题型均只读一遍。

　　题型说明：
　　Part A陈述（Statements）
　　范围涉及日常生活和社会文化等方面。要求应试者能够记住并理解数字、时间变化、地点、中心事件等；掌握事件的要点、主要情节和观点；理解直接以及间接信息并能够进行适当地整合分析；理解成语、动词搭配以及习惯用法。来源：考试大
　　Part B对话（Conversations）
　　范围涉及日常生活、社会文化、教育等方面。要求应试者对所听内容能够进一步推理、分析、领会讲话者的真实意图；进一步理解讲话者的语气和情感以及个别的弦外之音；同时，涉及少量的简单数字计算、统计等内容。
　　Part C新闻 （News）
　　本部分一般由5条新闻组成，就每条新闻提出两个问题。新闻材料均源自VOA或BBC等主要西方媒体关于社会、生活、文化、教育、娱乐、时事等一般性题材的报道。问题涉及新闻大意、重要例子、数字、逻辑推理、因果关系、人物职业和相互关系，以及重要支持观点等。问题在考生卷中印出。

It is the fifth in the region since September. The test was conducted at the Moruroa atoll on Wednesday. Paris has come under strong criticism for its nuclear testing program, especially from Asia-Pacific countries. A State Department spokeswoman in Washington expressed disappointment at the latest French test. 　　About 100 people are now known to have died in what has been described as“the worst storm” ever to hit the eastern US this century. The hurricane-force winds first struck the Gulf of Mexico and have now spread across the Canadian border, continuing to bring reckless snowfalls, severe flooding, and causing millions of dollars in damage.
