　　41 The following appeared as part of a newspaper editorial:“Two years ago Nova High School began to use interactive computer instruction in three academic subjects. The school 0dropout rate declined immediately, and last year’s graduates have reported some impressive achievements in college. In future budgets the school board should use a greater portion of the available funds to buy more computers, and all schools in the district should adopt interactive computer instruction throughout the curriculum.”
　　42 V1 一个recommendation：profits of clothing decreased in the past 3 months from August 1st to Oct 31th, and profits of house products increased. This is mainly because customer prefer house products than clothing. So we should expand housing furnishing department and close/(downsize) clothing department V2 一家公司在8-10月份的服装销售量下降，而家用产品利润上涨，所以应该减小服装部门的规模，而相应扩大家用产品部门的规模 V3 是一个Recommendation，clothing store的利润下将而store that sell products for home在同一时期的利润却上升了，这是因为客户买了更多的东西for home而不是衣服。预期这种趋势会继续下去，所以to take advantage of this trend, 提出扩大home department而减少 cloting department 的size。
　　43 The following appeared in the editorial section of a local newspaper:“This past winter, 200 students from Waymarsh State College traveled to the state capitol building to protest against proposed cuts in funding for various state college programs. The other 12,000 Waymarsh students evidently weren’t so concerned about their education: they either stayed on campus or left for winter break. Since the group who did not protest is far more numerous, it is more representative of the state’s college students than are the protesters. Therefore the state legislature need not heed the appeals of the protesting students.”
　　44 说的是一个公司去年做了个survey调查employees最想improve公司什么东西，调查结果是communications和 management。今年公司开放了employee的communication平台还提高了management，所以公司说本公司今年的 improvement是the most needed of employee
