On completion of the CAT examinations, students will be automatically transferred onto the ACCA Professional Scheme register, unless they indicated on the CAT registration form that no such transfer should take place. Transfer is not dependent upon obtaining any CAT practical experience and all transferred students are awarded exemption from Professional Scheme Papers 1.1,1.2 and 1.3. There is no additional registration fee to pay, nor will there be any charge for the exemptions awarded for Part 1 papers. CAT students who are automatically transferred to the Professional Scheme are issued with a new student ID card and number, and have the opportunity to take ACCA examinations at the next available session. Students completing CAT examinations at the June exam session, for example, can tak ACCA Part 2 papers from December. CAT students who indicated at the time of registration that they did not wish for an automatic transfer to the Professional Scheme, can still opt for the automatic transfer if a written request is submitted to ACCA Connect before sitting the final CAT examinations.
