Australian police called for a ban on Tuesday on messages being posted on internet blogs about the accused arsonist of bushfire in Victoria which has killed 189 people. Victoria s state police deputy commissioner Kieran Walshe said the publication of the information of the alleged arsonist Brendan Sokaluk could jeopardize the case because the police were taking actions to look at it. The publication of Sokaluk s street address and his image has been banned by a court but still some people have managed to publish some details on the internet about Sakaluk s privacy. "We ll talk with the DPP (Department of Public Prosecutions) and we ll also make some inquiries with the blogging side of it, whether we can have it removed," Walshe told the Nine Network. Sokaluk, 39, has been charged for one count of arson causing death, one count of intentionally lighting a bushfire and one count of possessing child pornography. 100test.com The charges relate to the Churchill bushfire in central Victoria that burnt out more than 30,000 hectares, killed 10 people and destroyed about 200 homes. He has been taken into custody to appear at a committal mention on May 26 and has not entered a plea nor applied for bail.
