* Version 29 SECTION ONE You will hear two students, Kevin and Helen, discussing about times of setting up a student radio station. First, you have some time to look at questions 1 to 4 on page two. You will see there is an example based on the point on listening test only. The composition related to this will be read first. Question1-4 K: Hello, Hallen. H: Hi, Kavin. K: Sorry I didn’t make a meeting today because I just have so much work to do. H: Oh, that’s ok. If you’ve got some time now, I could go over what you read about of setting up a radio station. K: oh, that’s great. H: ok, let’s see it. K: you must discuss about the fee first. What do we have in terms of funding? H: mm, simply answer, not a lot. K: we could get some donations. H: we’ve thought about that, but in the end we decided to be self-sufficient. If we put on it a few commercials, we could manage. K: everyone is going to work on the volunteer basis. H: yes, it’s amazing! We have no shortage of people wanting to take apart. We have to agree in the end those of us who hope to go into a career of it should get a priority. K: that’s right. You won’t get people who’ll just do for money like to do in the real world. So how do you decide who get what? H: well, we firstly should get together again. I think people will go away, think about what they want to do. But they should be able to put that across to a large audience. And that will be out. K: more ambition. H: exactly. We’ll set up some standards which could be meet differently for anybody else. We won’t track the sources of news we want. K: so we want people come up to think it as more experimental. H: exactly.
